More info about Qatar’s World Cup 2022
The FIFA World Cup has been contested every four years since 1930 and is the most important event of the FIFA (Federation International Football Association). The inaugural World Cup was held in Uruguay with 13 nations, 12 of which were host nations.
The next World Cup after Qatar will be held in the summer of 2028 in three North American countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Of course, the majority of the games take place in the United States, including the final. Far fewer tickets are available for Qatar 2022 than will be available for United 2026.
But going back to this year’s World Cup in Qatar here’s some relevant information:
The competition format consists of dividing the 32 teams into 8 groups of four teams each.
From each group, two teams qualify for the second phase; the first and second-place teams will go to the round of 16. The third and fourth-place teams in each group will have to pack up and return to their respective homes.
The games in the Round of 16 are to die for; that is, the winner advances to the quarterfinals and the loser returns home.
And so on, until the final, the two best teams in the tournament will advance to the semifinals.
