Orlando is a city that is full of tourist destinations. From theme parks to aquariums, there are plenty of places to visit for those who want to get a feel for the city.
The theme parks, restaurants, hotels and entertainment are amazing by themselves but many people don’t realize just how beautiful our skyline looks from up above.
Despite being located in the heart of Orlando, locals never seem to go on these helicopter rides. Why is that?
Orlando locals never go on helicopter tours.
There are a few reasons for this. Immers3d Magazine asked around to local people and to our surprise, most locals think a helicopter ride its a cool idea but they never thought about doing this.
Like Arturo S. (Bartender, 34) explained to us:
For one, the tickets are expensive and most Orlando residents are on a budget. But the main reason is that we’re afraid of looking like tourists. We don’t want to be that person who’s obviously not from around here, shelling out extra money for a touristy activity. Instead, we’ll just stick to the free things to do in Orlando. We’ll save our money and take the chance of looking like a tourist for something else.
So maybe it’s “too touristy” for us? Orlando locals think that because they’ve been living here their whole lives, they know everything there is to do.
And while some of their favorite spots might be off-limits to newcomers, that doesn’t mean a helicopter ride is out of the question! In fact, Orlando offers some pretty spectacular views from high up in the sky, and it’s something everyone should experience at least once. So if you’re thinking about taking a trip to The City Beautiful, don’t forget to add a helicopter ride to your list of things to do – you won’t regret it!
Perhaps a lot of us think it’s expensive. But guess what? it’s not.
Here are five reasons why you should do a helicopter tour in Orlando:
1. You’ll get an amazing view of the cityscape and all of the famous attractions.
2. It’s an incredibly thrilling experience that will leave you buzzing with excitement.
3. A helicopter ride is perfect for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries – something your guests will never forget!
4. It’s great way to see Orlando from a different perspective and learn more about this fascinating city.
5. The cost is surprisingly affordable, so it’s a great value for your money too!
Our experience was truly unforgettable!

It was just before sunset, so we felt it would be the perfect time for a helicopter tour in Orlando.
From the moment we boarded the helicopter until we landed back on the ground, it was non-stop excitement.
As soon as our eyes met with all those oranges and pinks in an enchanting sky above us – I knew this has been one of my favorite moments yet!
I thought even at this time a lot. Sometimes it can take a long time, maybe years until I see something as beautiful as what I was seeing at the time.
We all have this one point in our lives where we stop and think about what’s most important. And for some reason, looking down from high up can help you realize how lucky and beautiful life really is when everything seems so ordinary below us.
What you see from up here is so different than what we experience on the ground.
From below, it feels like everything around us has always been this way; there are no surprises or changes in sight–but when we flew over Sand Lake Road with its cars speeding by as well as all of these hotels and restaurants stretch out before me like an endless array? It’s hard not to think about how ironic that must seem! And yet somehow being tiny doesn’t bother me at all anymore…
The pilot provided us with a great overview of all the major tourist attractions in Orlando. He even flew us over Universal Studios and SeaWorld for a fantastic view.
From the air, you can see all of Orlando’s beautiful scenery and enjoy a bird’s eye view that takes in both cityscapes as well as neighborhood life.
Everything became magical; it was like flying on Aladdin’s carpet.
From a distance, it is difficult to perceive the organization of a city. However, when you see its layout up close and in detail, everything has its place; all colors blend into one beautiful picture that astounds you!
The heavy traffic on Sand Lake along with I-4 was already showing as well as some lights coming from International Drive.
The view of the Universal parks was small but masterful.
Do you still think that doing a helicopter tour in Orlando is only for tourist?
Think again! Locals know the best way to see the city is from above.
