It’s set away from the more heavily developed areas, and its downtown district offers a delightful contrast to other places.
Winter Garden Heritage Museum
Right on the corner of Plant St., you can see a fire truck with a beautiful red that looks like it’s from the 50s. A series of artifacts such as tractors from the time, even agricultural trucks or who knows what, adorn the street. Thanks to these museums we can find out more about “stuff” that was used for agricultural purposes in the 19th century.
The Winter Garden Heritage Museum is located in the 1918 Atlantic Coast Line train depot in downtown Winter Garden. The museum focuses on the history and culture of the area, with exhibits including local citrus labels, Native American artifacts, railroad memorabilia, and historic photographs.
The museum chronicles the history of the two main railroads that ran through Winter Garden, the Tavares and Gulf Rail Company and The Atlantic Coast Line.
Everything is picturesque in this mini-city.
And all thanks to this foundation that resisted changes without denying the progress of the new times.
